Metal Siding

Long, clean lines. Bold color. The kind of exterior people notice from the end of the block. Steel and aluminum panels in standing seam, flush, and corrugated profiles hold a line crisper than anything else we hang, and we install them with room to move so they stay that way.

The Longest Line on the Street

Metal siding is a face made of coil: steel or aluminum, roll formed into a profile, finished at the factory before it ever reaches the site. It does not rot, it does not feed insects, it does not burn, and the finish on a good panel outlasts the paint cycle on anything else we hang. On a modern elevation it is the material that reads sharpest from the street, because a roll formed panel is straighter than any board.

Steel and aluminum are not interchangeable here. Steel is stiffer, which means it holds a long run flat and takes a ladder better. Aluminum cannot rust, which matters on the water, and it weighs a fraction of steel, which matters on a tall gable. We pick between them by elevation and exposure rather than by habit, and we will tell you which one your house actually wants.

Why Metal Siding Is the Sharpest Choice for Modern Homes

The best choice for metal siding installation in greater Seattle

What separates a good metal wall from a bad one is movement. A steel panel on a dark wall grows and shrinks measurably between a February morning and an August afternoon, and if the fasteners pin it, the panel oil cans and the finish works at the fastener. So the panels hang on clips or in slotted holes with room to move, the cavity behind them drains, and dissimilar metals never touch. That is the whole craft of it.

Three Ways to Run the Panel

The profile sets how the wall reads and how it fastens. We mock up the one you are leaning toward on your own wall before anything is ordered.

  • Gable of a modern house clad in charcoal standing seam metal panels, raised seams running from the base trim to a sharp black rake edge, with two black framed windows and evergreens beside it

    Standing seam

Vertical panels with a raised seam at every joint and nothing showing on the face. The crispest wall we build, and the one that suits a modern elevation or a gable with nothing to interrupt it.

  • Modern farmhouse clad in board and batten metal siding, white vertical panels with raised battens on the main gable and a charcoal wing beside it, under a black standing seam roof with a timber entry awning

    Board & batten

Wide flat panels with a narrow batten over every seam, the farmhouse look carried over into steel. It reads tall and clean, and it pairs well with a timber porch or a dark accent wing.

  • Long wall of dark charcoal architectural metal panels laid out in a clean grid of large rectangles with thin reveals at every joint, black framed windows set into the grid, and a dark fascia and gutter along the roofline

    Architectural panel

Large flat metal panels set in a deliberate grid, with a clean reveal at every joint, for a sharp contemporary face. The layout does the design work, so we plan every seam around your windows and doors before a single panel is ordered.

It sits at the upper end of what we install. The panels themselves are competitive, but roll formed material has to be ordered to length, trim and flashing are fabricated rather than bought off a shelf, and a concealed fastener system is slower to hang than lap. The online estimator will put a range on your house and the home estimate replaces it with measured pricing.

Why Choose Sealed Siding?

The Best Choice for Metal Siding Installation in Seattle

  • Panels set with room to move: Clips or slotted fastening at every panel, sized for the run. Metal pinned tight is metal that oil cans and works its finish loose at every fastener.
  • Concealed fasteners where we can: A standing seam or flush panel hides its fastening. Exposed fastener systems have their place on outbuildings and budgets, and we will say plainly which one you are buying.
  • Dissimilar metals kept apart: Aluminum against steel, copper runoff, treated lumber in contact with a panel. Any of those corrodes a wall from the contact point out, so they get separated or they do not get built.
  • A drained cavity behind the face: Metal is the most watertight face we hang, which is exactly why the wall behind it has to be able to dry. Furring, a detailed weather barrier, and flashing at every opening.
